Transform 2019 Greece - Heartbeat of Greece

“Transform 2019 (www.om.org/transform) is a unified effort around the Mediterranean to create momentum for the gospel by mobilizing people and training them in telling their personal God story.” Following the Transform 2019 Conference, come join us in reaching out to the people of Athens and put what you've learned into practice!  Volunteers will support two local churches in their ministry among everyday Greeks, homeless and tourists.

MINISTRY DETAILS

• 8th to 13th July 2019– central conference in Athens,Greece
• 13th July 2019 to 20th July 2019 – Participate in Ministry

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Volunteers must be flexible.  Ministry in Greece is constantly changing, and volunteers must be able to adapt.
 

ACCOMMODATION

• During the conference, participants will stay at our main conference site
• During the outreach, participants will stay in church housing. We cannot guarantee that married couples will be housed together.
   

FOOD

Meals will be provided by the church.
 

TRAVEL

• You need to book and pay for your own travel to Greece on the 8th of July.  Please fly in to Athens International Airport (Airport Code ATH).
• The conference will take place in the area of Athens,Greece. Detailed information about travel to the conference site will be given to you by your local OM office.
• Travel from the conference to the ministry site will be arranged by OM and our partner churches. You may be required to pay the cost of this transportation.

HEALTH

Participants must be in good health and physically able to stand, bend, lift, walk, and do other physical activity as needed.  Athens is a large city and volunteers must be able to walk long distances and climb hills/stairs.

VISA

Citizens of the EU, Schengen Member States, USA, and Canada do not need a visa for this outreach. All others may need a visa. If a visa is required, and a fee is involved, it is the participant’s responsibility to pay the fees.
